Oil & Water Don’t Mix TV Commercial

A coalition of groups across the Midwest are working together to keep oil out of the Great Lakes. An aging Enbridge pipeline carries nearly 23 million gallons of crude oil through the heart of the Great Lakes – at the Straits of Mackinac.

Rivet Entertainment got involved to conceive, and then produce and edit this spot entitled “Shocking to Think” for the group of non-profit organizations. “I’m passionate about this issue, and wanted to help in any way I could,” said Bill Latka – the producer/director/editor of the spot.

The spot was shot on a Red Epic over three days with a small crew in the Mackinac Straits area. Bryan Papierski was the Director of Photography.

We did some testing with different voice actors, and our results showed that the current voiceover was the favorite – which also happens to be Bill Latka.
