The Michigan Land Use Institute is a non-profit that builds sustainable communities. Rivet Entertainment produced this corporate documentary to tell their incredible story and show their body of work to benefactors and the community.

This corporate documentary is told by the people and organizations deeply affected by the work that MLUI does in northwest lower Michigan in the areas of Local Food & Farming, Thriving Communities, and Energy & Environment.

The documentary has become an effective fundraising tool because its stories relate the many focus areas of the Institute in an entertaining way. And perhaps what works best is that since its told by the people whose lives are enhanced by the work MLUI does, it is a genuine message that doesn’t sound like “marketing speak.”

The main documentary video production showed to a packed house at MLUI’s annual Milliken Reception and we’re proud to report that it received a standing ovation. We edited the documentary into a shorter web video where it plays daily online on the MLUI website.

So much of the work we do here at Rivet Entertainment is to help organizations like the Michigan Land Use Institute to tell their stories, and to amplify the good that they create. This video has been successful in boosting donations to this non-profit organization.
